Working Philosophy

notebookBefore I start a project I take time to understand the client and their values. I work in partnership to provide creative and practical designs that are attractive but also serve the objectives of the business or organisation. Over the years I  have built up many friendly, successful and, long-term relationships with clients. I aim to respond quickly to emails and phone calls and will agree clearly defined, achievable goals and deadlines with clients throughout the process.

My job as a designer is not just about making attractive websites or printed material, it’s about finding the best solution to communicate the message.

I have a background in traditional design for print but have over 10 years experience in web and online design. This means I can provide both print and web design services which makes for great consistency across communication materials.

As a freelancer, I can offer better value for money than a full service design agency but for larger and more complex projects I have a network of partners that can provide specialist skills such as web development and online marketing.

Over the years my work has developed into three particular areas of expertise:

  • Web design for small-medium sized businesses
  • Web design for churches, charities & not-for-profit organisations
  • Design of online marketing materials such as web banners and email templates

In addition, I provide print design services, often done in parallel with the web project. I also offer an affordable general photography service for clients as well as working as a part-time wedding photographer.
